Dear reader,
The NSF AI Spring School reshaped how I think about artificial intelligence. Sessions connecting human cognition, AI robustness, and user-facing security reminded me that building better AI starts with a better understanding of ourselves. The experience strengthened my interest in AI research and thoughtful, human-centered systems.
The moments I’m keeping
Dr. Cory Merkel’s “Breaking Brains” session explored ambiguity in human perception and robustness in neuromorphic systems.
Dr. Maria Gorlatova discussed evaluating and securing XR experiences with large multimodal models.
Birds-of-a-Feather discussions led by Dr. Amanda Fernandez connected me with peers, research opportunities, and new questions about HCI.
